What this spread is
The monthly spread works best at the start of the month, to help you tune in. One card shows its general theme, four are laid out by week, and the last gives advice. It isn’t a calendar of events but the tone of each week: what is easier to notice when you know about it beforehand.
This spread works well as a ritual of attention. You write the cards down, and at the end of each week you check: what really matched and what didn’t. That way the spread becomes a practice of paying attention instead of a “prediction.”
What each position means
- Theme of the month. The general mood and theme that will run through all the weeks. It is the background against which the rest happens.
- Week 1. The start of the month: the first mood, the first steps, what draws attention.
- Week 2. Development: what is growing, or the first test.
- Week 3. A turn: time to adjust your course and weigh what works and what doesn’t.
- Week 4. A summing-up and the transition to the next month: what to consolidate, what to let go.
- Advice. A hint for the whole month: what to lean on and what to remember. It is a suggestion, not an order.
Which questions it suits
- I want to tune in to the month and have a guide.
- How should I divide my attention between the weeks?
- What might be the theme of this month for me?
- I like keeping a journal and checking it against the cards.
- I need a simple monthly ritual.
What this spread won’t show
The monthly spread doesn’t name dates and doesn’t predict events, illnesses, financial results or meetings. The weeks describe a tone, not “what will happen on Thursday.” For plans and decisions, rely on real circumstances, and use the cards as a hint about what to pay attention to.
A short example
Question: How should I meet the coming month?
- Theme of the month: The Chariot, moving forward and focus.
- Week 1: Ace of Pentacles, a new opportunity in practical matters.
- Week 2: Five of Wands, differing opinions and small frictions.
- Week 3: Four of Swords, a breather and recovery.
- Week 4: Ten of Pentacles, a summing-up and a sense of stability.
- Advice: Page of Cups, listen to quiet feelings and ideas.
Putting it together: a month about movement that begins with a practical step, passes through friction and rest, and arrives at a sense of stability. The advice: don’t forget your feelings. The spread promises no specific event.
The example is made up: it shows how the positions are read, not what will “come up” for you.
How to read the spread
- Do the spread at the start of the month and write down the cards to compare with what you lived.
- First look at the row as one line: whether the numbers climb or fall, whether a suit repeats.
- A Major Arcana card in one of the weeks usually marks the most noticeable week.
- At the end of each week add what matched and what didn’t: that is how you learn to read more precisely.
Who lays out the cards in the bot
In the bot, the spread is laid out by Iris, an artificial intelligence rather than a human tarot reader. We don’t hide it. She interprets exactly the cards that came up, in light of your question and the positions of this spread. It is entertainment and a reason to reflect, not a forecast or advice on health, money or legal matters.

Frequently asked questions
Will the spread show what exactly will happen in the month?
No. Cards describe the mood and theme of a week, not events or dates. Events are shaped by your actions.
When is the best time to do the monthly spread?
At the start of the month, and you can also do it at the new moon or on a day that is special to you. What matters is having a few calm minutes for the cards.
Can I do it several times a month?
It is better to do it once: that way it stays a guide. For daily practice there is the card of the day, and for specific questions there are other spreads.
How is it different from the Card of the year?
The Card of the year covers 12 months and needs no question. The monthly spread is more detailed, divided into weeks.
How much does it cost?
120 crystals, and your first full spread in the bot is free. One crystal equals one Telegram Star.
Who does the reading?
Iris, an AI tarot reader. She describes the tone of each week in simple words.
